ScottishHaze has heavily scripted this world, and has made many modifications to the base game, combat systems, and loot systems.

This is a living, breathing world.

Every night, the DSD's AI (aka. the game server) reads historical player data, loot data, and length of time they were in combat, as well as if they stayed still, what did they do, etc. It converts all this raw data into a heat map, overlays it on top of the game map, and then re-adjusts all spawn points of enemies, their loot, and other valuables, to make every single day here different from the last.

Guns Aren't From Around Here..

Guns didn't exist 65 Million Years ago. Dinosaurs have never seen or expected something like a blunderbuss to fire at them.. you might want to figure that out sooner than later. Just know though, they can be powerful, but they sure do make an awful lot of noise. Most dogs hate fireworks; how do you think a T-Rex would react to a gunshot?

You Aren't Safe Here Either

Most dinosaurs have had knives for fingers for millions of years, and rows of teeth that can destroy stuff much bigger than you. They know how to use them better than you know how to hold a knife. They have multiple claws and you have at most, two knives. Do you want to risk it for the biscuit? Is there even a biscuit at the end of it all?

Collapsing Safe Zones

There's no such thing as property lines back here, so why should be able to just walk in and claim a house? Well, you can't. Time to remember how much you love camping! Safe-houses are not a thing here, and neither are any vehicles, but camp sites are great places to cook what meat you find, and rest. The DSD states it is ill advised to stay still in one place for a long time..

Spawn Points Diminish

You have 4 spawn points to start. These were designated safe zones by the UDR's Deep Science Division. They caused such wild chaos when they first appeared in this world, that the dinosaurs were spooked and run away. They'll get more brave and want what's inside as time goes on though..

You're Not Alone

It wasn't just you and your buddies that got teleported back. Other factions, bandits, and the town residents were all sent back in time. They don't like you, just like you don't like them, so be on the look out. These were hardened DSD Combat Troops that were sent back way before the explosion happened, so they are ready for you.

Getting Around

It wasn't just humans that got taken back; animals and even some horses warped back, free from their confinement. If you want to go deep into the heavily populated areas or the dense jungle, they're out there. Get to them before the dinosaurs do! If you can't, Dinosaurs have never seen roads before, so maybe if you stick to them, especially the bigger ones, they'll keep you safe. Maybe somewhere deep in the forest, there's some sort of technology you can find to make things easier.. surely..

Declaration of Scripts and Use of AI

ScottishHaze has heavily scripted this world. It monitors a lot of things you might not think of. Minimal spoilers, but every action a player performs, is monitored and recorded in some way, and changes the way the world gets drawn the next day. It is anonymous data, as I don't track anything like Steam ID's or even in-game player nicknames. It's the raw data only. The heat-map is a generative AI bot running locally on my machine offline, along with the diff stat world engine, that monitors and changes the world. These are the only use of AI, outside of some assistance with Claude Code on this website, and some back-end scripts.
